Brettism Hump Day! Funny 15 minutes later

During the visit over the fourth of July, Robert took quite a liking to all of the kids, but particularly to Emma. He'd raised three sons from his first marriage when he and my aunt had Elizabeth and I think he has a soft spot for little girls.

We're all sitting down to dinner and Emma is reveling in her new admirer.

"Emma, I call Elizabeth my 'Special' because she's my special one, I only have one daughter. But you can be my 'Number 2 Special', how is that?", Robert says.

Before Emma can reply Brett looks over and says drolly, "I thought that was General Tso's chicken."

Now that is actually some pretty sophisticated humor. In the construction sense you know, not the subject matter. He's really a riot.

Is he working on is material now that he knows he has an audience?

He is indeed a riot. He knows that stuff he says and does gets put online, but he's really always been this witty little guy. I really can't wait to see what he turns out like as an adult, I just want to take him out for a beer and a hamburger and enjoy hanging out with him.

I'm getting caught up on all my blogs--posts really add up when you're gone for a week and a half! But it's also a treat to have SEVERAL Caroline posts to read all in one day. :)

So I won't comment on all of the posts I just read but thanks for entertaining me again (and again, and again)!

Random side note--my word verification text is "lvgyn". Sounds like a license plate for the spouse of a gynecologist. Or just someone with a weird fetish.
